History of Painters Plus
Painters Plus was started in historic Northville Michigan by two young me, Steve McFarland and Dwayne March. Both had worked their way through college painting historic homes and buildings. After finishing school, they felt they could combine their newly learned business skills with their knowledge of painting to become successful. So in 1986 they became Painters Plus.
They had very little money and borrowed equipment but they managed to convince a local homeowner to let them be their first customer. This house was on a busy street causing people to stop, admire their work and ask for their number. Offering professional work at affordable prices became their motto. Soon they had many jobs and grew faster than they could have imagined. After two years they became one of the largest painting companies in the entire Detroit area!
After a few years Steve decided he no longer wanted to live in the Detroit area so he moved to California. He soon picked up where he had left off in Detroit. After a few year Painters Plus had once again become one of the largest painting companies in the area. First in Sacramento and later expanding to all of Northern California.
